TV Box & Firestick FAQ

How does an android tv box work?

An android tv box is a mini computer running an android operating system. Android tv boxes can run different apps and add-ons that allow you to stream shows from the internet to your tv.

Android tv boxes work similarly to Netflix in that there are no channels, instead you choose a show. Because content is accessed from the internet, what you can access is unlimited and costs nothing. TV shows that have just aired on tv are generally available within an hour.

Are there any monthly fees?

No there aren’t. If you choose to subscribe to an additional service such as an IPTV service, there are fees for those services.

What is IPTV and can I get IPTV on your tv boxes?

IPTV for android tv boxes is a hacked cable feed. It’s good for those who like live tv and channel surfing. Most IPTV services for android tv boxes are illegal therefore we don’t sell IPTV. If you want to add an IPTV service to your tv box, you can very easily. We’ve found the majority of our customers don’t use an IPTV service as they are able to access everything they want using android apps and Kodi add-ons but it’s always something that can be added.

What’s the difference between android app and Kodi add-on streaming versus an IPTV service?

Android app and Kodi add-on streaming works similarly to Netflix with no limits on what you can watch. You choose a show or movie you want to watch instead of a channel. New episodes of TV shows are generally available within an hour of airing on tv. You never need to record as shows are always available to stream.

An IPTV service gives you live tv with a channel guide that works like cable.

There is a monthly fee to use an IPTV service. There is no cost to use android app and Kodi add-ons for streaming.

You can watch tv shows, movies and sports using either or both android apps and Kodi add-ons and an IPTV service.

Can I run both an IPTV service and android app and Kodi add-ons on my tv box?

Yes you can.

How often will I need to update my tv box?

There is no timeline on how often you’ll need to update. We use a variety of android apps and Kodi add-ons so you have lots of different streaming sources to use.

We offer 3 choices to our customers for future updates, they can use the step by step instructions on our website to update their tv box themselves anytime they want, they can bring us their tv box to update or we can remotely update their tv box.

What speed internet should I have?

We recommend a minimum of 25 Mbps for better streaming. If your speed is slower than 25 Mbps, you’ll want to subscribe to a streaming enhancement service that will push shows to you faster to compensate for your lower download speed. The streaming enhancement service we recommend costs $25 for a 6-month subscription.

To learn what internet download speed you have, go to That website will run a speed test and give you your download speed. We recommend you run a speed test during peak hours (5 pm to 10 pm for a realistic idea of your speed).

Do I need one tv box per tv?

Yes. Technically, you can move your tv box from tv to tv but we don’t recommend that as it’s hard on the HDMI port.

Do I need a VPN?

We don’t use one.

Do I need a Smart TV to use an android tv box?

No. As long as your tv has an HDMI port, you can use an android tv box.
